Funny...You are Cordially, I mean, regretfully Invited?

A fellow planner and good friend once sent me this funny wedding invitation (thanks Sam).
I thought I should share...and may I suggest...it might not be a great idea to let the future in-laws volunteer to pay for, choose and/or mail out your invites..LOL...

About two weeks ago I had a "play date" with one of my upcoming brides, Carrie.
We got together to go over finals of her wedding details and of course "Pinot" was a guest of honor. While sipping wine and chatting "all things wedding" we were concentrating on table numbers, and sure enough that wine helped and we had a blast!

I always say to myself I feel most productive when in a sprightly good mood, if you know what I mean...who doesn't? and no, I don't consume while executing an event but in the privacy and comfort of my office and planning 4 weddings all in the same month, yes I have been in need of a few doses of ethanol to get me through the nights. Well, back to Carrie...

Carrie mentioned how she wanted something creative incorporating her design/theme. Here's a picture of a mock table # I put together for her. The cylinder vase is wrapped with velum displaying the couple's monogram, it is lit with a candle to display the number. We will be making some changes, not sure what yet, but be sure to stay tuned for the finished version of Carrie's table #.

For Laughs...The Perfect Dress!

I know, I know....I have been slacking with the posting/sharing all the wonderful events we have been planning and executing. I will post pics soon...so stay tuned.
In the mean time I want to share this FUNNY. Enjoy!Amy's wedding day was fast approaching. Nothing could dampen her excitement -- not even her parents' nasty divorce. Her mother had found the PERFECT dress to wear and would be the best dressed mother-of-the-bride ever! A week later, Amy was horrified to learn that her father's new young wife had bought the same dress as her mother! Amy asked her step mom to exchange it, but she refused. "Absolutely not. I look like a million bucks in this dress, and I'm wearing it," she replied. Amy told her mother who graciously said, "Never mind sweetheart. I'll get another dress. After all, it's your special day." A few days later, they went shopping and did find another gorgeous dress. When they stopped for lunch, Amy asked her mother, "Aren't you going to return the other dress? You really don't have another occasion where you could wear it." Her mother just smiled and replied, "Of course I do, dear. I'm wearing it to the rehearsal dinner the night before your wedding." LOL

7.3.08 Congratulations to Christine & Michael! Love is in the air!

I have had the profound pleasure and honor of coordinating Christine and Michael’s beautiful wedding this past July 3, 2008 at The Tides Estate in North Haledon, NJ. It was our first time coordinating an event there and I have to say “I just loved the mood, the beautiful grounds, the indoor/outdoor cocktail hr and the service provided by their extremely professional staff everything was so fascinating to me”. I absolutely loved it! I have included a few teaser pictures.

Christine & Michael are such an adorable & sweet couple and were so lucky to have found each other and join their lives in holy matrimony on such beautiful day.

They exchanged vows at the church Immaculate Conception in Annandale, NJ. Robyn and I were in awe, the church was absolutely beautiful, and breath-taking! Just as its name implies the church was "Immacualte"! Not to sound too emotional but I had tears in my eyes when the groom walked to meet his darling bride who was escorted by her mother and father. This reminded me why I love being a planner.

Their families and friends were all so friendly and welcoming. You could feel the love that surrounded them throughout the entire event.
The awesome bride Christine is one of a kind! Being a philly girl herself, she was daring enough to surprise her new husband (Mets fan) with Mr. Met's appearance (and 'oh boy' was he surprised) during the reception, when at least half of her guests were straight Philly’s fans. It was a great time to see all her guests willingly take pictures and high five Mr. Met!
Michael enjoyed every single minute of it!
Here's a picture of Mike's reaction...
Christine & Michael, Thank you for allowing us to share your special day.It was a pleasure for us to plan with you and help create your dream wedding. We wish you many, many years of love, health and happiness.
Your Coordinators,

I have to give raves of awesomeness to all the wedding professionals that also helped this couple get married. Everyone was professional, friendly and easy going. We didn't have a single problem, and this put me at such great ease. The whole night was flawless! I can't thank them enough.
